Tobin Farms Velvet Antler™ contains both Red Deer and Elk velvet antler processed in our Northern Maine Processing Plant. We dry, scrape, grind, encapsulate and bottle velvet antler for the nutritional supplement market. We are licensed and inspected by the Maine State Agricultural Department.

Tobin Farms processes only 100% WHOLE velvet antler into 250 mg capsules. WHOLE means we do not and will not separate and sell the tips somewhere else. 100% WHOLE velvet antler powder is reddish brown (not grayish) in color. The capsules should be clear and stuffed full. Our capsules are clear so that you can see what you are purchasing.

The picture (right) of velvet antler slices, from four sections of our dried and scraped antlers, shows why velvet antler powder should be reddish-brown. You can easily see that if the dark brown tips (bulbs) are sold separately to foreign brokers (because they gladly pay a high price for them), why the powder will be pale or grayish. Because we are not tempted by the foreign broker's high price, we do not and will not sell any of our tips (bulbs). For this reason, our velvet antler powder is reddish-brown... the way it must be. This explanation is one of the reasons why there can be a difference in quality (potency) when there should not be.
